Air Jordan Retro 3 (III) Black / Cement Grey Countdown Pack

Back in March we dropped the news that the Air Jordan Retro 3 (III) Black / Cement Grey would release again, but apart of the Jordan 3 – Jordan 20 Countdown Pack. For those that are wondering what they will look like, wait no more, the pair pictured is the Air Jordan 3 (III) Retro Countdown Pack.
Although multiple angles are not available yet, we can tell the materials used are true to the Air Jordan 3 (III) Retro Black / Cement with the premium leather uppers. Sadly, we do not have a picture of the heel yet, but it will be the Jumpman logo. Releasing this October, via Marqueesole.

I was actually a KO fan for quite some time. I’d grown up watching him on SportsCenter and appreciated his “anti-establishment” tone during the dark ages of the Bush era… However, once the administration changed hands over to the democrats, he suddenly lost his “anti-establishment” edge and quit being the government watchdog he prided himself for being. At that point he became a cheerleading government shill and kept his sights focused on the Bush crowd, even though they were out of power. That’s when I stopped watching “Countdown”, being that I’m not a fan of either of the corrupt political parties in America and have no interest in rah-rah politics. It’s sad because America is in desperate need of a press that actually does the job it was intended to do, i.e. provide checks and balances to government power, rather than promote one side over the other.

RSS Feeds not working on your site.If you’re furtively browsing at work, for example, you don’t want that. Better to allow people to click on the sound samples rather than just have the music start automatically. Also, it’s good to include some hi res photos for downloading, in case a folk club wants to make up some promotional materials, and a few quotes from reviews – and if you really want to be helpful, a ‘canned bio” that they can cut and paste. As someone who makes posters and flyers that makes my task a lot easier and saves time.

The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod’s. It works well, but isn’t as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that’s not an issue, but if you’re planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod’s larger screen and better browser may be important.

Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.

The Zune concentrates on being a Portable Media Player. Not a web browser. Not a game machine. Maybe in the future it’ll do even better in those areas, but for now it’s a fantastic way to organize and listen to your music and videos, and is without peer in that regard. The iPod’s strengths are its web browsing and apps. If those sound more compelling, perhaps it is your best choice.

If you’re still on the fence: grab your favorite earphones, head down to a Best Buy and ask to plug them into a Zune then an iPod and see which one sounds better to you, and which interface makes you smile more. Then you’ll know which is right for you.

Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.

I’ll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)
