Air Jordan I (1) '09 Preview

Jordan Brand has given a preview of some of the shoes that it has coming out for 2009. During a private preview Jordan Brand showed a slew of unique Air Jordan 1s in both high top and low top form.

The high top Air Jordan I (1) shown are two versions. The first is an all black version made of leather with red laces, sole, and a large red Nike Swoosh, which seems to be made out of a felt material giving it a fuzzy look. The shoe has yellow stitching that really complements the black and red and brings the shoe together yet still keeps it looking fresh. The next AJ1 is also the high top form, but reverts back to more conservative colors, which are gray and black. The shoe is an equal combination of black and gray, but the gray is more creased giving it that worn-in/retro look.

The low top AJ1s shown are two versions all of which have polka dots. The first is predominately black with yellow polka dots, while the second one is predominately white with green polka dots. So if your looking to get your polka dots on this year then Jordan Brand has you covered. Be on the look out for these to drop soon.

Release Reminder: April 11, 2009

Though there are only three Air Jordan sneakers releasing this weekend, all three are definitely worth checking out. The first sneaker releasing on Saturday, April, 11, 2009, is the “Hare” Air Jordan I (1) which many sneakerheads have been looking forward to for a while now. The Air Jordan Fusion IX (9) series will also debut this weekend in two new styles. The first pair of the Air Jordan Fusion 9 that will release tomorrow is quite fitting for the occasion due to the fact that the University of North Carolina won the NCAA Championship only a couple days ago, and this pair is modeled after UNC’s team colors. The second AJF9 is one we have not seen too many previews of, but its white upper with varsity red and black accents proves to be quite an attractive color scheme. Both colorways of the AJF9 will drop for $160, whereas the retail price for the “Hare” Air Jordan 1 is $120. Check out detailed pictures and the tech information for each pair after the jump.

Air Jordan True Flight - Black / White - Stealth

Air Jordan True Flight - Black / White - Stealth

With many styles of the Air Jordan True Flight already available for purchase, it seems as though Jordan Brand will continue to release new colorways of their Air Jordan VII (7) inspired basketball sneaker. This pair features a black base with white stitching, a grey midsole, and a metallic Jumpman logo on the ankle. Though most are not too fond of the white stitching on a black base, others believe it ends up giving the sneaker a clean look. Whatever the case may be, the Air Jordan True Flight - Black/White-Stealth is set to release on June 20, 2009 for a retail price of $140.

Air Jordan Fusion IX (9) - White / Black - University Blue

Air Jordan Fusion IX (9) - White / Black - University Blue

With the Air Jordan Fusion IX (9) series debuting this weekend, we present to you a detailed look at the White/Black-University Blue colorway of the AJF9. This pair features a white leather upper accented by a university blue midsole, a black tongue, and black laces. Other university blue accents on this pair can be seen via the tongue, heel, and lace tag. Though this style includes university blue, the colorway as a whole is quite similar to the Original “Powder” Air Jordan IX (9) which released back in 1993. The Air Jordan Fusion IX (9) essentially maintains the upper of the Air Jordan 9 while adding key components of the Air Force 1 to the sole. The Air Jordan Fusion IX (9) - White/Black-University Blue is set to drop on April 11, 2009 for a retail price of $160. Be sure to check out the detailed pictures after the ‘jump.’

Air Jordan 2.5 Low - Black / Green

Air Jordan 2.5 Low - Black / Green

With a couple colorways of the Air Jordan 2.5 Low already released, we are now getting a first look at the black/green style of Jordan Brand’s latest low top hyrbid. The Air Jordan 2.5 takes key components from the Air Jordan II (2) and Air Jordan III (3), and meshes them together to create a low-top basketball sneaker. This specific colorway features a simple black base with green accents seen on the cement print, outsole, tongue, and laceholes. The green cement print may influence many people to purchase this Air Jordan 2.5 Low, but it will also turn off quite a few potential buyers due to their belief that it is ruining a classic pattern. Whatever the case may be, you can cop the Air Jordan 2.5 Low - Black/Green in the upcoming months for a retail price of $115.

Spring’s here and Summer’s right around the corner, so these shoes should do you some justice whether for casual wear or on the court. Check these out at a Air Jordan retailer near you. (more…)

Air Jordan XI (11) 45 Sample

9 April 2009

Air Jordan XI (11) 45 Sample

The Air Jordan XI (11) is considered to be one of the best sneakers ever designed, and when word broke that the “Bred” Air Jordan 11 would release in the 11/12 Countdown Pack, sneakerheads were overwhelmed with joy. Though many considered the pair that released to be perfect, some argued that the sneaker could have been better if it hosted the number 45 on the back rather than the typical 23. Well, now is your chance to cop an extremely exclusive pair which does include 45 on the heel. Some may remember that when Michael Jordan returned to the NBA after his stint in professional baseball, he wore the number 45 due to the fact that the his previous number, 23, had been retired. As expected, the current price on these is well over two grand, and will most definitely rise before the auction ends in a couple days.

Now that the Air Jordan Force Fusion VI (6) has released in all its colorways, it is almost time for the Air Jordan Force Fusion IX (9) to start hitting retailers. Though the AJF9 is set to debut later this month, some online retailers are already selling the latest sneaker from Jordan Brand’s ‘love it or hate it’ Air Jordan Force Fusion series which combines the Air Force 1 with a numbered Air Jordan model. This pair yields a white upper with a black midsole, varsity red inner lining, and other varsity red accents. Overall, the AJF9 maintains the look and shape of the Air Jordan IX (9) with the exception of the midsole which comes straight from the Air Force 1. The Air Jordan Force Fusion IX (9) - White / Varsity Red - Black is set to drop June 6, 2009 for a retail price of $160.
